FP6861C-C2AS5CTR

FP6861C is a cost-effective, low-voltage single N-channel MOSFET high-side power switch optimized for self-powered and bus-powered USB applications. The FP6861C incorporates a charge pump circuit to drive the internal MOSFET switch. The switch's low RDS(ON) meets USB voltage drop requirements, and a flag output signals fault conditions to the local USB controller. Additional features include soft-start to limit inrush current during insertion, thermal shutdown to prevent catastrophic switch failure under high-current loads, and UVLO to ensure the device turns on only when a valid input voltage is present. Furthermore, in accordance with USB power requirements, the fault current of the single-port FP6861C is limited to a specified current range. When the FP6861C is disabled and the output voltage (VOUT) exceeds the input voltage (VIN), it prevents reverse current flow. The FP6861C is available in MSOP-8, SOP-8, and SOT-23-5 packages for a compact footprint.
