Overview

GM2410 is a half-duplex RS-422/RS-485 transceiver with ±70V fault protection, operating from a single 3V to 5.5V supply. The bus interface pins are protected against overvoltage conditions in all operating modes, ensuring robust communication in demanding industrial environments. These devices integrate IEC ESD protection, eliminating the need for external system-level protection components. The extended ±25V input common-mode range guarantees reliable data communication over long cable lengths and/or in the presence of large ground loop voltages. Enhanced 150mV receiver hysteresis ensures high noise immunity. In addition, the receiver failsafe feature guarantees a logic-high output when the inputs are open or shorted. GM2410 devices are available in compact MSOP8 and DFN8 packages, suitable for space-constrained applications. The device operates over an ambient air temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
