GM3085N

GM3085N is a high-speed transceiver designed for half-duplex communication in RS-485/RS-422 applications. It integrates one driver and one receiver. The GM3085N features a polarity-adaptive control circuit that allows the receiver to automatically detect and match the driver's polarity in communication systems composed of RS-485 devices. This capability enables the polarity-adaptive GM3085N to establish network connections without distinguishing A/B bus polarity — unlike conventional RS-485 devices that require polarity matching for network connectivity. The GM3085N provides ±15kV HBM ESD protection and fail-safe circuitry, and employs a reduced slew-rate driver to minimize EMI and reduce signal reflections caused by improper cable termination, supporting error-free transmission at up to 1Mbps. In addition, the GM3085N is designed with a 1/8 unit load receiver input impedance, allowing at least 256 devices to be connected on a single bus.
