GM3485E

GM3485E is a high-speed RS-485 transceiver with ±15kV ESD protection, incorporating one driver and one receiver. The device features a failsafe circuit that ensures the receiver output remains at a logic high level when the receiver input is open or shorted. This means that even when all transmitters on the terminated bus are disabled, the receiver output will remain at a logic high level. The GM3485E driver has an unlimited slew rate, enabling data transmission rates up to 10Mbps. All driver outputs and receiver inputs are protected to ±15kV using the Human Body Model. The transceiver typically draws 500μA of supply current under no-load conditions or when the driver is disabled with full load. The device features a receiver input impedance of 1 unit load, allowing up to 32 transceivers to be connected on the bus. The GM3485E is suitable for half-duplex communication.
