GP8891CAS

GP8891CAS is a self-powered constant voltage/constant current primary-side feedback control IC designed for chargers and adapters. It features a proprietary output line loss compensation technique to effectively compensate for the voltage drop caused by output current across the output cable. The built-in startup circuit eliminates the need for external startup resistors, while the integrated FB pull-down resistor and CS sampling resistor simplify the peripheral circuit. In addition, the built-in loop compensation circuit removes the need for external compensation components, ensuring excellent system stability. GP8891CAS achieves excellent CV/CC characteristics and meets the standby power consumption requirement of less than 75 mW. The IC incorporates multiple protection functions, including open-circuit protection, overvoltage protection, output short-circuit protection, and secondary Schottky short-circuit protection. Its unique single-cycle peak current shutdown mechanism prevents various failures caused by transistor overcurrent. GP8891CAS is available in a SOP7 package.
