This 4-bit non-inverting translator is a bidirectional voltage-level translator designed to establish digital switching compatibility between different voltage systems. It features two independent and configurable supply rails: Port A supports an operating voltage of 1.2V to 5.5V and tracks the VCCA supply, while Port B supports an operating voltage of 1.2V to 5.5V and tracks the VCCB supply. This enables the device to support both lower and higher logic signal levels, providing bidirectional translation capability between 1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage nodes. When the output enable input is low, all I/O ports are placed in a high-impedance state, significantly reducing quiescent current consumption from the supply. As long as VCCA is powered, there is an internal pull-down current source on the output enable. To ensure the high-impedance state is maintained during power-up or power-down, the output enable should be connected to ground through a pull-down resistor; the minimum value of this resistor is determined by the current source capability of the driver.
