This 8-bit non-inverting level translator is a bidirectional voltage level translator designed to establish digital switching compatibility between different voltage systems. It features two independently configurable supply rails: Port A supports an operating voltage of 1.2V to 5.5V and tracks the VCCA supply, while Port B supports an operating voltage of 1.2V to 5.5V and tracks the VCCB supply. This enables support for both lower and higher logic signal levels, providing bidirectional translation capability across 1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage nodes. When the output enable input is driven low, all I/O ports are placed in a high-impedance state, significantly reducing quiescent current consumption. An internal pull-down current source is present on the output enable pin whenever VCCA is powered. To ensure the high-impedance state is maintained during power-up or power-down, the output enable pin should be connected to ground through a pull-down resistor; the minimum value of this resistor is determined by the current source capability of the driver.
