GS4917-AFR

GS4917 is a stereo headphone amplifier designed for portable applications, operating from a 2.7V to 5.5V single supply. Its capacitor-free design generates a ground-referenced output from a single supply, eliminating output DC-blocking capacitors to reduce component height and cost. For the GS4917-BFR, the internal gain is fixed at -2V/V, further reducing component count. For the GS4917-AFR, the gain is adjustable via external feedback resistors. The device features a quiescent current as low as 2.7mA from a 5V supply, THD+N as low as 0.02%, and delivers 80mW per channel into a 32Ω load at 0.1% THD+N with a 5V supply. Its PSRR of up to -78dB at 217Hz allows the device to operate from noisy digital supplies without an additional LDO. The device provides short-circuit and thermal overload protection. The built-in shutdown control also enables pop- and click-free switching. The GS4917 is available in a green QFN-3×3-16 package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
