HADM485ARZ

HADM485ARZ is a low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communications. The IC integrates one driver and one receiver. The driver's slew rate is unconstrained, allowing data rates up to 2.5 Mbps. When the driver is unloaded or fully loaded and disabled, the supply current consumption of these transceivers ranges from 120 μA to 500 μA. All devices operate from a single 5V supply. The driver features short-circuit current limiting and is protected against excessive power dissipation by a thermal shutdown circuit that places the driver outputs in a high-impedance state. The receiver inputs incorporate a fail-safe feature that guarantees a logic-high output when the inputs are open-circuited. The HADM485ARZ is designed for half-duplex applications.
