Overview
HD588L is a 3.3V/5V, half-duplex, ±15kV ESD-protected RS-485/RS-422 transceiver IC, incorporating one driver and one receiver. The HD588L features enhanced slew-rate limiting to reduce output EMI and reflections caused by mismatched terminations, enabling error-free data transmission at 20Mbps. The receiver input impedance is 1/8 unit load with operating current below 150μA, allowing up to 256 transceivers on the bus for half-duplex communication. All driver outputs provide ±15kV HBM ESD protection. Available in an 8-pin SO package, operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
