Overview
The HG3232A interface IC integrates two drivers, two receivers, and a dual charge pump circuit. The serial port features ±15kV IEC61000-4-2 ESD protection. The HG3232A complies with TIA/EIA-232-F and provides an electrical interface between asynchronous communication controllers and serial port connectors. An on-chip charge pump with four small external capacitors supports single-supply operation from 3V to 5.5V. The HG3232A supports data signaling rates up to 250kbit/s, with a maximum driver output slew rate of 30V/µs. The output ports feature short-to-ground protection.
