HT6872

HT6872 is a low-EMI, anti-clipping distortion, mono filterless Class-D audio power amplifier. Under conditions of 6.5V supply, 10% THD+N, and 4Ω load, it delivers 4.71W output power, maintaining high efficiency and AB-class amplifier performance across a wide range of audio terminal applications. The standout feature of the HT6872 is its Anti-Clipping Function (ACF) output control, which detects and suppresses output signal clipping distortion (breakup) caused by excessively large input music or voice signal amplitudes. It also adaptively prevents output clipping caused by supply voltage drops in battery-powered applications, significantly improving audio quality, delivering a highly comfortable listening experience, and protecting speakers from overload damage. The chip also supports ACF-Off mode. The HT6872 features proprietary EMI suppression technology and excellent full-bandwidth low-radiation performance. Its radiation levels remain well below the FCC Part 15 Class B standard without any auxiliary design measures, eliminating interference with other sensitive circuits while reducing system design complexity. The HT6872 integrates a filterless digital modulation technique internally, enabling direct speaker drive while minimizing distortion and noise in the pulsed output signal. No output filter network is required, and the minimal external component count saves system space and cost, making it an ideal choice for portable applications. In addition, the HT6872's built-in shutdown function minimizes standby current, and integrates output overcurrent protection, on-chip over-temperature protection, and supply undervoltage fault protection.
