Overview

A mono filterless Class-D audio power amplifier with low EMI and anti-clipping distortion capability. Delivers 4.7W output power at 6.5V supply voltage, 10% THD+N, and 4Ω load, maintaining high efficiency and AB-class-like performance across various audio terminal applications. Its key feature is the anti-clipping output control function, which detects and suppresses output signal clipping caused by excessively large input music or voice signal amplitudes, and adaptively prevents output clipping due to supply voltage drop in battery-powered applications. This significantly improves audio quality, provides a comfortable listening experience, and protects speakers from overload damage. A mode to disable the anti-clipping function is also available. Utilizing proprietary EMI suppression technology and excellent full-bandwidth low-emission performance, the radiated emissions remain well below FCC Part 15 Class B limits without any auxiliary design measures, avoiding interference with other sensitive circuits while reducing system design complexity. An integrated filterless digital modulation technique enables direct speaker drive while minimizing distortion and noise from the pulsed output signal. No output filter network is required, and the minimal external component count saves system space and cost, making it an ideal choice for portable applications. Additionally, a built-in shutdown function minimizes standby current, with integrated output overcurrent protection, on-chip over-temperature protection, and supply undervoltage fault protection.
