HT6873 is a high-fidelity, ultra-low-EMI, monaural filter-less Class D audio power amplifier with Anti-Clipping Function. Under 5V supply, 10% THD+N, and 4Ω load conditions, it delivers 3.5W output power, maintaining high efficiency across various audio terminal applications while providing the high-fidelity, low-noise performance of a Class AB amplifier. The AROC radiation and conducted interference suppression circuit gives HT6873 excellent full-bandwidth low-EMI performance. With no auxiliary filter design and a 20cm speaker output cable, the radiation level is well below FCC Part15 Class B standards. HT6873's Anti-Clipping Function detects and suppresses output clipping distortion (audio breakup) caused by excessive music or voice signal levels or battery voltage drops, significantly improving audio quality, delivering a comfortable listening experience, and protecting speakers from overload damage. To address different requirements, the Anti-Clipping Function offers two modes — ACF-1 and ACF-2 — corresponding to approximately 3% and 10% maximum THD+N respectively, and the IC also supports ACF-Off mode. HT6873 requires no output filter network. The minimal external component count saves system space and cost, making it an ideal choice for portable applications. In addition, HT6873's built-in shutdown function minimizes standby current, and it integrates over-current protection, over-temperature protection, and under-voltage fault protection.
