Overview
HT8693 is an audio power amplifier featuring both Class-D and Class-AB operating modes. In Class-D mode, it delivers a continuous output power of 10W at VDD=8.5V, THD+N=10%, with a 4Ω load; in Class-AB mode, it delivers 9W under the same conditions. In Class-D mode, the HT8693 incorporates an Anti-Clipping Function (ACF) output control that detects and suppresses output clipping distortion (audio breakup) caused by excessively large input music or voice signal amplitudes. This significantly improves audio quality, creates a comfortable listening experience, and protects the speaker from overload damage. An ACF-Off mode is also configurable. The HT8693 supports seamless switching between Class-AB and Class-D modes, allowing users to switch to Class-AB mode at any time when encountering EMI interference from Class-D amplifier operation. In addition, the HT8693 features a built-in shutdown function that minimizes standby current, along with integrated output overcurrent protection, on-chip over-temperature protection, and supply undervoltage protection.
