The INA190-EP is a low-power voltage-output current shunt monitor (also known as a current sense amplifier). This device is commonly used for overcurrent protection, precision current measurement for system optimization, or closed-loop feedback circuits. The INA190-EP senses the voltage drop across a shunt resistor at common-mode voltages from –0.2V to +40V, independent of the supply voltage. The device's low input bias current allows the use of larger current sense resistors, enabling precise current measurement at the microamp level. The zero-drift architecture's low offset voltage extends the dynamic range of current measurement. This feature supports smaller sense resistors while maintaining accurate current measurement with lower power loss. The INA190-EP operates from a 1.7V to 5.5V single supply, consuming a maximum supply current of 65 μA when enabled and only 0.1 μA when disabled. Five fixed gain options are available: 25V/V, 50V/V, 100V/V, 200V/V, or 500V/V. The device is rated for an operating temperature range of –55°C to +150°C and is available in a SOT-23 package.
