JTDLM393

The LM393 is an IC consisting of two independent, high-precision voltage comparators with a low input offset voltage of 2.0mV maximum. It is designed for wide voltage range, single-supply operation, but can also be operated from split supplies; the supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the supply voltage. A key feature is that the common-mode input voltage range of the comparators extends to ground level, even with single-supply operation. Typical applications include limiters, simple A/D converters, pulse generators, square-wave generators, delay generators, wide-range VCOs, MOS clock timers, multivibrators, and high-level digital logic gates. The LM393 is designed to directly interface with TTL and CMOS; when operated from dual supplies, it is compatible with MOS logic — a distinct advantage of the low-power LM393 over standard comparators.
