The L9110 is a dual-channel push-pull power amplifier IC specifically designed for motor control and drive applications. The device integrates discrete circuitry into a single monolithic IC, reducing peripheral component costs and improving overall system reliability. Its inputs are TTL/CMOS compatible, providing excellent noise immunity. The two output channels can directly drive a motor in both forward and reverse directions, delivering high current drive capability — each channel can sustain 800mA continuous current with a peak current capacity of 1.5A. Built-in clamp diodes dissipate reverse surge currents from inductive loads, ensuring safe and reliable operation when driving relays, DC motors, stepper motors, or switching power transistors. An integrated thermal shutdown protection circuit monitors the chip's PN junction temperature and shuts down all circuit functions when the temperature exceeds the designed threshold. The L9110 is well suited for a wide range of applications including toy car motor drives, stepper motor drives, and switching power transistor circuits.
