The device can be used as two 2-bit transceivers or one 4-bit transceiver, providing bidirectional level translation via two independently configurable supply rails. The A port tracks VCCA and the B port tracks VCCB, both accepting any supply voltage in the range of 1.2V to 3.6V, enabling universal low-voltage bidirectional translation between 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V voltage nodes. The device is designed for asynchronous communication between two data buses; the direction control input and output enable input logic levels activate either the B port or A port outputs, or place both output ports in high-impedance mode. When the B port output is active, data is transmitted from the A bus to the B bus; when the A port output is active, data is transmitted from the B bus to the A bus. The input circuits of both the A and B ports are always active, and logic high or low levels must be applied to prevent excessive ICC and ICCZ currents. The device features a fully configurable dual-rail design, supporting operation of each port across the full supply voltage range of 1.2V to 3.6V. Control input VIH/VIL levels are referenced to the VCCA voltage. Partial power-down mode operation is supported, preventing backflow current by disabling I/O output circuits. High-speed applications are supported — for example, signal rates up to 380Mbps when translating from 1.8V to 3.3V. Latch-up performance exceeds 100mA, compliant with JESD 78 Class II specifications. ESD protection performance exceeds JESD 22 specifications, including 8000V Human Body Model, 150V Machine Model, and 1000V Charged Device Model. The package is TSSOP16, with dimensions of 5.0mm × 6.4mm × 1.0mm.
