Overview
The LM311 series is a high-speed voltage comparator capable of operating in dual-supply applications at ±15V as well as in 5V logic applications, with outputs compatible with most TTL and MOS signals. The open-collector transistor output can drive loads referenced to VCC+, VCC−, or GND, and is capable of switching voltages up to 50V at a load current of 50mA, making this comparator well suited for driving lamps, relays, and similar loads. Key features include fast response time of 165ns, strobe capability, offset nulling and enable functions, supply voltage of ±15V or 5V, output withstand voltage of 50V with 50mA output current, and available in DIP8/SOP8 packages.
