Overview

The LM386MX-1/NOPB audio power amplifier is designed primarily for use in low-voltage consumer applications. To minimize external components, the voltage gain is internally set to 20. However, by adding an external resistor and capacitor between pins 1 and 8, the voltage gain can be set to any value up to 200. The inputs are ground-referenced, and the output is automatically biased to half the supply voltage. With a 6V supply voltage, the quiescent power drain is only 24mW, making the LM386MX-1/NOPB especially suitable for battery-powered applications.
