Overview

The LM4863 is a dual bridged audio power amplifier. At a 5V supply voltage, the device can deliver 2.2W output power into a 4Ω load or 2.5W output power into a 3Ω load, while maintaining THD+N below 1.0%. Additionally, when driving stereo headphones, the headphone input allows the amplifier to operate in single-ended mode. This amplifier family utilizes SMT, requires minimal external components, and delivers high-quality output power. The LM4863 integrates dual bridge speaker amplifiers and a stereo headphone amplifier, simplifying audio system design. Key features include external control, low-power shutdown mode, stereo headphone amplification mode, internal thermal protection, and integrated circuitry to suppress power-on surge pulses.
