Overview
The LM4871B is a monophonic bridge-driven audio power amplifier capable of delivering 3W of continuous average power into a 3Ω load with less than 10% THD when powered by a 5V supply. To conserve battery life in portable devices, pulling the SHUTDOWN pin high places the LM4871B into a low-power shutdown mode (Iₒ = 0.6μA typical). This series of audio power amplifiers is specially designed to deliver high-power, high-fidelity audio output. Operating from a 2.0V to 5.0V supply, they support low-voltage operation with minimal external components. Since the LM4871B requires no output coupling capacitors, bootstrap capacitors, or impedance matching networks, it is an ideal choice for low-power portable systems. The LM4871B also features thermal shutdown protection, unity-gain stability, and externally configurable gain.
