Overview

The LM4871 is a 3W mono Class AB audio power amplifier with an operating voltage range of 1.9–5.5V. Powered by a 5V supply in BTL bridge configuration, it delivers an average output power of 3.0W into a 4Ω load at less than 10% THD. In shutdown mode, the typical current is less than 0.5μA. Designed for high-power, high-fidelity audio output, the device requires minimal external components and eliminates the need for external coupling or bootstrap capacitors at the output. Available in DIP-8, SOP-8, ESOP-8, MSOP-8, EMSOP-8, and DFN-8 packages to help save board space, it is well suited for mobile phones and a wide range of portable devices requiring low-voltage, low-power solutions.
