Overview
LP8860-Q1 is a high-efficiency automotive LED driver with a boost controller. The device features 4 high-precision current sinks controllable via PWM input signal, SPI, and/or I²C host. The boost converter incorporates adaptive output voltage control based on LED current sink headroom voltage. This feature regulates the voltage to the minimum level required under all conditions, minimizing power dissipation. With a wide adjustable frequency range, the LP8860-Q1 avoids interference in the AM radio frequency band. The LP8860-Q1 supports built-in hybrid PWM and current dimming, reducing EMI, extending LED lifetime, and improving overall optical efficiency. Phase-shifted PWM reduces audible noise and output ripple.
