Overview
The LP8864S-Q1 is an automotive-grade high-efficiency LED driver with a boost controller. Four high-precision current sinks support automatic phase shift adjustment based on the number of channels in use. The LED brightness can be globally controlled via the I²C interface or PWM input. The boost controller features adaptive output voltage control based on the headroom voltage of the LED current sinks. This feature can regulate the boost voltage to the lowest level that can meet the requirements under all conditions, thereby minimizing power consumption. With a wide-range adjustable frequency, the LP8864S-Q1 can avoid interference in the AM radio band. The LP8864S-Q1 supports built-in hybrid PWM dimming and analog current dimming, which can reduce EMI, extend the LED lifespan, and improve the overall optical efficiency.
