Overview

The LTC887x series single, dual, and quad amplifiers achieve a maximum GBW-to-supply-current ratio, making them ideal for battery-powered applications requiring a good balance between cost and performance, such as audio output, motor phase current sensing, photodiode amplification, and white goods. Featuring rail-to-rail input and output swing, 20 MHz wide bandwidth, low supply current (typically 1.12 mA per amplifier at 5 V supply), and low noise, the LTC887x series is an ideal choice for precision, low-current, low-voltage, battery-powered applications. Low input bias current enables these amplifiers for use in applications with megaohm-level source impedances. The robust design of the LTC887x amplifiers provides ease of use for circuit designers: integrated RF/EMI rejection filters, no phase reversal under overdrive conditions, and high ESD protection (3 kV HBM). The LTC887x amplifiers are optimized to operate at voltages as low as +1.8 V (±0.9 V) and as high as +5.5 V (±2.75 V) over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C; over the extended temperature range of −40°C to +125°C, they operate from +2.0 V (±1.0 V) to +5.5 V (±2.75 V). The LTC8875 (single) is available in SOT23-5L and SOIC-8L packages. The LTC8876 (dual) is available in SOIC-8L and MSOP-8L packages. The quad LTC8878 is available in SOIC-14L and TSSOP-14L packages.
