Overview
LY3206 is a fully integrated motor drive control IC, incorporating a lithium battery charge management module, motor drive module, motor freewheeling diode, push-button gear control module, and protection module, with a standby current of only 5μA. The charging current is 1A (LY3206) or 0.6A (LY3206L); the red LED illuminates during charging and the green LED illuminates when fully charged; the green LED illuminates during discharge and flashes as a low-battery warning. The maximum output current is 1.6A; applications exceeding 1.6A can be achieved by adding an external PMOS transistor. When the MODE pin is connected to the battery voltage, 3-gear mode is enabled — a single button press sequentially switches between 50%, 75%, 100% output, and off; when the MODE pin is grounded, 1-gear mode is enabled — a single button press toggles power on/off.
