Overview
This device contains four independent receivers that comply with the EIA standard for electrical characteristics of balanced/unbalanced voltage digital interface circuits. The receiver outputs feature 74LS-compatible TRI-STATE structures, which are forced into a high-impedance state when the corresponding output control pin reaches a logic zero condition. Each output control pin is buffered by a PNP device to ensure minimum loading regardless of whether the input is a logic one or logic zero. In addition, each receiver incorporates an internal hysteresis circuit to improve noise margin and prevent output instability when input waveforms change slowly.
