Overview

The MCP62x series single, dual, and quad-channel amplifiers maximize the gain bandwidth (GBW)-to-supply current ratio, making them ideal for battery-powered applications requiring a good balance between cost and performance, such as audio output, motor phase current sensing, photodiode amplification, and white goods. These amplifiers feature rail-to-rail input and output swing, 20 MHz wide bandwidth, low supply current (typical 1.12 mA per amplifier at 5 V supply), and low noise, making them an ideal choice for precision, low-current, low-voltage, battery-powered applications. Low input bias current enables use in applications with megaohm-level source impedances. The robust design of MCP62x amplifiers provides ease of use for circuit designers: integrated RF/EMI rejection filters, no phase reversal under overdrive conditions, and high ESD protection (3 kV HBM). MCP62x amplifiers are optimized for operation from +1.8 V (±0.9 V) to +5.5 V (±2.75 V) over a 0°C to 70°C temperature range, and operate from +2.0 V (±1.0 V) to +5.5 V (±2.75 V) over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The MCP621 (single-channel) is available in SOT-23-5 package. The MCP622 (dual-channel) is offered in SOP-8, DFN-8, and MSOP-8 packages. The quad-channel MCP624 is available in SOP-14 and TSSOP-14 packages.
