Overview

The MSA3116 is a high-efficiency stereo Class-D power amplifier IC. Its integrated PLL circuit allows selection of different switching frequencies to avoid AM interference, and its advanced EMI suppression technology enables EMC compliance using only low-cost ferrite bead filters at the output. The IC also features external clock synchronization for multi-device synchronization. Both mono and stereo output modes are supported. In mono mode with a 2Ω speaker, output power reaches 100W. In stereo mode with an adequate heatsink, output power reaches 2×50W/4Ω. Comprehensive protection features include short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, over/under-voltage protection, and DC protection. The internally integrated ~120mΩ MOSFETs enable a stereo output power of 2×50W/4Ω with an adequate heatsink.
