NS4268

NS4268 is a 3W stereo Class-D audio power amplifier featuring DC volume control, ultra-low EMI, and filterless operation. When a headphone plug is inserted into the jack, the audio power amplifier drives stereo headphones in single-ended mode. The NS4268's DC volume control provides 32-step attenuation ranging from 24dB (DC_Vol = 0V) to -80dB (DC_Vol = 3.54V). Advanced technology dramatically reduces EMI across the full bandwidth, minimizing interference with other components. To simplify audio system design, both BTL speaker amplifier mode and single-ended stereo headphone amplifier mode are implemented on a single chip. The filterless PWM modulation architecture and integrated feedback resistors reduce external component count, PCB area, and system cost. Built-in overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, and undervoltage protection effectively safeguard the chip against damage under abnormal operating conditions. Leveraging spread-spectrum technology with a fully optimized circuit design, the efficiency of up to 90% makes it well suited for portable audio products. The NS4268 is available in an SOP16 package with a rated operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
