NSA2092

NSA2092 is a high-voltage, high-performance Class-D audio power amplifier driver IC designed for Class-D audio amplifier systems with ultra-high output power. It integrates an analog power amplifier, PWM modulation circuit, high-side and low-side overcurrent protection (for both high-side and low-side power devices), shoot-through prevention dead-time logic, and three voltage domains (VAA~VSS / VCC~COM / VB~VS), implementing PWM modulation via a flexible open-loop topology. An integrated pop-and-click suppression function eliminates unwanted audible noise during PWM signal startup and shutdown transitions. A complete Class-D audio power amplifier can be realized with just a power bridge circuit and a minimal number of passive components. The device detects overcurrent conditions in power MOSFETs by sensing Rds(on), eliminating the need for direct current sensing used in conventional overcurrent protection schemes, thereby simplifying system architecture and reducing application complexity. To accommodate the bridge output topology, both the analog PWM modulator and protection logic are placed in a floating well, as is the high-side circuit. The breakdown voltage between the floating well and the chip substrate ground (COM) exceeds 300V, enabling use in amplifier applications up to ±150V and achieving output power in excess of 500W.
