Overview
The NSG27322 high-speed driver delivers 9A peak drive current in an industry-standard pinout. These drivers can drive the largest MOSFETs in systems requiring extreme Miller currents due to high dV/dt transitions. This eliminates the need for additional external circuitry and allows replacement of multiple components to reduce board space, design complexity, and assembly cost. By employing a design that inherently minimizes shoot-through current, the device output can supply high gate drive current precisely where it is needed most — during MOSFET switching in the Miller plateau region. The unique hybrid output stage parallels bipolar and MOSFET transistors (TrueDrive) to efficiently deliver current at low supply voltages. With this driver architecture, the NSG27322 is suitable for industry-standard 6A, 9A, and many 12A driver applications. Latch-up and ESD protection circuits are also included. Finally, the NSG27322 provides an Enable (ENBL) function for enhanced control over driver operation. ENBL is implemented on pin 3, which was previously unused in the industry-standard pinout. It is internally pulled up to the VDD supply for active-high logic operation and can be left unconnected for standard operation.
