Overview
The SDC477-MS series is an integrated Hall sensor with H-bridge output driver, designed for single-phase brushless DC motor applications. Fabricated using BCD process, it integrates an on-chip Hall sensor for magnetic sensing, an amplifier for Hall voltage amplification, a comparator for switching hysteresis to suppress noise, and a bidirectional driver for sinking and driving high-current loads. The device features low power consumption with a quiescent operating current of 1.5mA — significantly lower than comparable products on the market — contributing to improved fan efficiency and reliability.
Applications
- PC/server power supply cooling fans
- Charger/inverter/induction cooker cooling fans
- Blowers
- Water pumps
- DC brushless motors
Key features
- Integrated Hall element and single-coil drive output, reducing fan manufacturing cost
- Low power consumption, quiescent current as low as 1.5mA
- Strong current drive capability up to 350mA
- Built-in reverse polarity protection circuit, eliminating external reverse protection diodes
- Built-in temperature compensation circuit for excellent thermal stability
- High mechanical stress resistance, effectively minimizing magnetic sensitivity drift
