Overview
The SGM4890 is a fully integrated audio power amplifier with an operating supply voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V. At 1% THD+N with a 5V supply, it delivers 1.1W into an 8Ω BTL load. The amplifier is designed for portable applications requiring reduced component count. The SGM4890 features a low-power shutdown mode and thermal shutdown protection, making it suitable for low-power portable systems without output coupling capacitors or bootstrap capacitors. It also offers externally controlled gain (via resistors) and externally controlled turn-on time (via bypass capacitor) for maximum flexibility. The SGM4890 is available in a RoHS-compliant MSOP-8 package and operates over a -40℃ to +85℃ ambient temperature range.
