SL485N

The SSP485N is designed for RS-485/RS-422 communication. It is a high-speed transceiver for half-duplex communication, integrating one driver and one receiver, with Driver Enable (DE) and Receiver Enable (RE) pins. When disabled, both driver and receiver outputs enter a high-impedance state. A failsafe circuit ensures correct receiver output when the receiver input is open-circuited or short-circuited. The device provides ±15kV ESD protection. Additionally, the receiver features 1/8 unit load input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be connected on a single bus. Compared to conventional RS-485 ICs, the SSP485N features an adaptive function that enables communication regardless of L1/L2 polarity (no need to distinguish between L1 and L2), with a minimum required communication rate of 25Hz.
