SP483ECN-TD

SP483ECN-TD is a transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communication systems, supporting data rates up to 2.5Mbps. The device operates in half-duplex mode with driver enable and receiver enable control pins. The receiver features 1/4 unit load input impedance, allowing up to 32 transceivers to be connected on the same bus. The chip integrates one driver and one receiver; its reduced slew-rate driver helps minimize EMI and reflections caused by improper cable termination. The receiver incorporates input filtering to improve noise rejection for slowly rising and falling differential signals, at the cost of a 25% increase in propagation delay. The device has no failsafe circuitry — when the differential input voltage is between -200mV and 200mV, the receiver output is indeterminate; a pull-up resistor on the A pin is required to ensure a high receiver output when the bus is idle.
