SP485EN-MS

SP485E is a 5V-powered, half-duplex, low-power, slew-rate-limited RS-485 transceiver fully compliant with TIA/EIA-485 standards. SP485E integrates one driver and one receiver, both of which can be independently enabled or disabled. When both are disabled, the driver and receiver outputs enter a high-impedance state. SP485E features 1/8 unit load, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be connected on the same communication bus. The slew-rate-limited driver significantly reduces EMI and reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, achieving a communication rate of 2.5Mbps with 32 nodes. SP485E operates over a supply voltage range of 4.75~5.25V, with fail-safe protection, over-temperature protection, current-limiting protection, over-voltage protection, and hot-swap capability on control pins. SP485E offers excellent ESD protection, with HBM ±15KV, contact discharge per IEC61000-4-2 ±15KV.
