Overview

TDA2030 is a monolithic integrated circuit in a Pentawatt/TO220B-5 package, designed for use in low-frequency Class AB amplifiers. It delivers 14W output power (typical d = 0.5%, ±14V/4Ω). At ±14V or 28V, it can output 14W with RL = 4Ω and 9W with 8Ω. The TDA2030 provides high output current with very low harmonic and crossover distortion. In addition, the device incorporates a short-circuit protection system, including an automatic power dissipation limiting function to keep the output transistor operating within a safe range, as well as a conventional thermal shutdown system.
