TJA1042T-1J-TD

The TJA1042-TD high-speed CAN transceiver provides an interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus. Designed for high-speed CAN applications in the automotive industry, it offers differential transmit and receive capabilities for CAN protocol controllers. As a third-generation high-speed CAN transceiver, the device features significant improvements in EMC and ESD performance. Key features include: ideal passive behavior on the CAN bus when power is switched off; an ultra-low-current standby mode with bus wake-up capability; and a VIO pin variant for direct interfacing with microcontrollers operating at supply voltages from 3.3 V to 5 V. The device implements the CAN physical layer as defined in ISO 11898-2:2016 and SAE J2284-1 through SAE J2284-5, supporting reliable communication at data rates up to 5 Mbit/s during the CAN FD fast phase.
