The OPTIREG™ Linear TLS850F3TUV33 is a high-performance low-dropout fixed output voltage regulator in a PG-TO252-7 package. It features an input voltage range of 3 V to 42 V and an extremely low quiescent current of only 26 μA, making it ideal for automotive systems or other power supply systems permanently connected to a battery. The TLS850F3TUV33 offers an output voltage accuracy of ±2% and a maximum output current of 500 mA. The loop design combines fast regulation with good stability, requiring only a single 1 μF small ceramic capacitor at the output. Operation begins at an input voltage as low as 3 V (extended operating range), making the TLS850F3TUV33 also suitable for automotive systems that need to operate under start-up conditions. The reset function monitors the output voltage, including undervoltage reset and delayed reset at power-up. The integrated watchdog circuit with adjustable timing monitors microcontroller operation. A shared external delay capacitor sets both the reset timing and watchdog timing. Internal protection features — such as output current limiting and overtemperature shutdown — protect the device against direct damage caused by faults such as output-to-ground short circuits, overcurrent, and overtemperature conditions.
