The TLV704 Low Dropout (LDO) linear regulator is a low quiescent current device that offers the advantages of a tiny package, a wide input voltage range, and low-power operation. Therefore, the TLV704 is specifically designed for battery-powered applications and can be used as a power management accessory for low-power microcontrollers. The TLV704 LDO supports a low dropout voltage of typically 850mV at a load current of 100mA. The low quiescent current (typically 3.4μA) remains stable across the entire output load current range (0mA to 150mA). The TLV704 also features an internal soft-start function to reduce inrush current. The built-in overcurrent limit protection helps safeguard the regulator in the event of a load short-circuit or fault. The TLV704 comes in a 2.90mm × 1.60mm SOT23 - 5 package, which is useful for cost-effective circuit boards.
