Overview
TMI8118/8118S is a DC motor driver IC designed for systems operating at low input voltages, featuring a single-channel low on-resistance. It supports four motor control functions: forward rotation, reverse rotation, stop, and brake. TMI8118/8118S integrates thermal protection: when the chip temperature rises sharply, the internal circuit shuts down the built-in power switches to cut off the load current. TMI8118S comes in an SOP8 package, while TMI8118 comes in a SOT23-6 package. Both are RoHS compliant with 100% lead-free lead frames.
