Overview
The device contains an 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register that feeds an 8-bit D-type latch with parallel three-state outputs. The shift register and latch have separate clocks. The shift register features a direct clear input, a serial input, and a serial output for cascading. The device also provides an asynchronous reset for the shift register.
