Overview

The TPA4861 is a 3W mono Class-AB audio power amplifier. It operates over a supply voltage range of 1.9V to 5.5V in BTL bridge configuration. At a 5V supply, it delivers an average output power of 3.0W into a 4Ω load with THD less than 10%. In shutdown mode, the typical current consumption is less than 0.5μA. The device is designed to deliver adequate power and high-fidelity audio output with minimal external components, requiring no output coupling capacitors or bootstrap capacitors. Available in an SOP-8 package to help conserve board space, it is well suited for mobile phones and other portable applications demanding low-voltage, low-power operation.
