The TPS7A88 is a dual, low-noise (3.8 μV_RMS), low-dropout (LDO) regulator with 1A source current capability per channel and a maximum dropout voltage of only 200 mV. The TPS7A88 provides two independent LDOs for maximum flexibility, with a solution size approximately 50% smaller than two single-channel LDOs. Each output is adjustable from 0.8V to 5.0V via external resistors. The wide input voltage range supports operation from 1.4V to 6.5V. The TPS7A88 achieves 1% output voltage accuracy over the full line, load, and temperature range, and features a soft-start function to reduce inrush current, making it ideal for powering sensitive analog low-voltage devices such as VCOs, ADCs, DACs, high-end processors, and FPGAs. Designed to power noise-sensitive components, the TPS7A88 is well-suited for high-speed communications, video, medical, and test and measurement applications. With an ultralow output noise of 4 μV_RMS and broadband PSRR of 40dB at 1MHz, it minimizes phase noise and clock jitter, maximizing the performance of timing devices, ADCs, and DACs.
