The TPS7B770x-Q1 series devices are single-channel and dual-channel high-voltage LDOs with current sensing, designed to operate over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 40V (45V load-dump protection). These devices power the LNA of active antennas through a coaxial cable at 300mA per channel. Each channel also provides an adjustable output voltage of 1.5V to 20V. These devices provide diagnostics via current sensing and an error pin. To monitor load current, the high-side current sensing circuit provides an analog output proportional to the sensed load current. The current sensing function is highly accurate, enabling detection of open-circuit, normal, and short-circuit conditions without further calibration. Current sensing can be multiplexed across channels and devices to conserve ADC resources. Each channel also implements adjustable current limiting via an external resistor. An integrated reverse-polarity diode eliminates the need for an external diode. These devices feature standard thermal shutdown, output-to-battery short-circuit protection, and reverse current protection. Each channel provides internal inductive clamp protection at the output during inductive switching transients. These devices operate over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
