TPT482-VS2R

TPT480 and TPT482 are ESD-protected devices compliant with IEC61000, supporting ±12kV IEC contact discharge and ±15kV IEC air discharge. These 3.0V to 5.5V transceivers comply with RS-485 and RS-422 full-duplex communication standards. The transmitters in this series deliver excellent differential output voltage under the 54Ω load required by RS-485. The devices feature ultra-low bus current, presenting a true 1/8 unit load on the RS-485 bus. This allows up to 256 transceivers to be connected on a single network without repeaters. The receiver inputs feature a "fail-safe" design, ensuring a logic-high output when the receiver inputs are open, shorted, or connected to a terminated but undriven bus. TPT480 and TPT482 are designed for full-duplex RS-485 applications, available in SOP8, DFN3X3-8, MSOP10, and SOP14 packages, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
