TPT75176H is an enhanced RS-485 transceiver that exceeds the TIA/EIA-485-A standard, featuring ±15-kV IEC ESD protection, supporting 3 V to 5.5 V supply voltage for balanced communications. The device delivers higher output voltage and faster data rates (up to 10 Mbps) to meet high-speed PROFIBUS application requirements, and is available in industrial and extended industrial (-40°C to +125°C) temperature range versions. This transceiver requires a 3 V to 5.5 V supply and provides a minimum differential output voltage of 2.1 V at 5 V supply. This results in improved noise immunity (data integrity), longer transmission distances, or the ability to drive up to three 120 Ω termination resistors in "star" or other non-standard bus topologies at superior data rates up to 10 Mbps. The receiver inputs feature a "full fail-safe" design, ensuring the receiver output remains logic high when the receiver inputs are open, shorted, or terminated but undriven. The receiver output offers high drive capability (typical >25 mA @ VOL = 1 V), facilitating the design of optocoupler-isolated interfaces. TPT75176H is available in SOP8, MSOP8, and DFN3X3-8 packages, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
